Why You Should Never Do a Job? Part – 1

The alarm buzzes which forces John to wake up and turn it off. Just as a trained laboratory rat acts according to his training, likewise he automatically does all his daily work; it seems as if he has been programmed to do these works for years. He gets up, makes a cup of coffee to stimulate him, takes a shower, wear his office outfit and leave for his work.

What we All Do Daily at Work?

Now what John will do in office? He will spend whole day working for someone else on the property owned by someone else, performing someone else’s bidding. And for the rest of his life he is bounded to lead his life in the same way. This is what all of us do. But the sad thing is that John considers this life, which is filled with restrictions and obligations, as a normal and healthy life.

“Get A Good Job”- Why Should It Be the Only Aim of Our Life?

Most of workers live with an ambition to “get a good job” and work for another person or business. In this article you will be explained that why, for most of the people, a job is only the first short-term step which they take on a long road towards financial independence. Almost anything else is nothing but just a blind waste of time, money and financial security.

Business Trends Were Not Like What We See Today

There was an incredible difference between the Business just a century ago and today’s business. Here I am not talking about the fundamental business principles as many of the fundamental principles of profit, supply and demand are generally the same, but the change towards which I wanted to divert your attention is that when society comes to making money it has nearly and absolutely left behind all understanding of self-reliance and individualism.

Most of the people use to think that, meaning of a career is just to become a slave for hire, find someone to work under your ownership and for the rest of their life you have the authority to do their bidding, and hope to see that you gain some benefits. You will be given a per hour salary. It’s nothing but wage slavery. May be some kind of jobs are nicer than others, but that’s generally what it comes to when it’s all boiled down.

Very few people think that there is something beyond a job. Even those people who have outstanding academic record and those who are able to achieve the farthest goals in life and have such capability of doing some extraordinary work are all encouraged to get jobs and become slave to others. What does society tells us? It is just that you have to go to college so that you may get a good job in a reputed firm/company. Things had not always been like this way.

Trends of Olden Days Business

Before that every aspect of society has been completely dominated by huge corporate interests by the help of mass-media and mass-marketing, business was oriented towards small business and “shops.” People use to do most of works locally. A larger part of labor was done in small family-operated shops. Families were running Taverns. Products like candles and furniture were built in small shops.

Usually a business was managed by the owner and his apprentices – workers who helped the owner. The only purpose of apprentices to work there was that they learn enough and gain some experience to start their own shop in their future life. For a certain period of time they worked for someone so that in future they could be able to work for themselves.

The base of the entire system was independence, individualism and creative enterprise. You learned how to trade, you opened shop and you worked for yourself. The main aim was to get financial security. Nowadays the idea of self-employment is slowly dying.
